Dr. Steve Gioielli
Licensed Psychologist
I’ve been working with clients since 2009, and I consider it a true privilege to walk alongside people as they share the vulnerable, meaningful, and sometimes difficult parts of their lives. I care deeply about creating a safe, supportive space where you can explore, heal, and grow. My background includes a doctoral degree (PsyD) in clinical psychology and a master’s degree in spiritual development, which help me bring both clinical expertise and a respect for the deeper dimensions of human experience into our work together.
I offer in-person and telehealth services. My office is located in east Boulder. Additionally, I offer psychotherapy and assessment via telehealth to residents of Colorado, California, and PSYPACT participating states. Check to see if your state is in PSYPACT

Therapeutic Assessment
I specialize in conducting psychological evaluations that help people understand themselves better, and the approach typically leads to new insights and growth. Much like a traditional psychological evaluation, interviewing and testing occur, and the information is used for identifying diagnoses and planning treatment. However, following principles grounded in research, clients become active participants in the evaluation process and work with the evaluator in a highly collaborative relationship to make sense of the psychological test results. At the end of a Therapeutic Assessment (TA), clients often feel more prepared to take the next steps in their lives. The process begins with a brief telephone discussion, during which some basic background information will be gathered and the approach will be further explained. Before a client begins a TA, it is important to ensure the timing is right and the approach is a good fit. In addition, payment and logistical questions can be discussed.
Fees
My rate for individual therapy is $180 and $225 for couples therapy. I do not accept insurance, although I am happy to help you make use of any out-of-network benefit, should they apply.
Rates for Therapeutic Assessment range range from $2000-$3500. See here for more details.
